Rolf Harris stripped of his CBE following indecent assault convictions
An official announcement was made on Tuesday
Rolf Harris has been stripped of his CBE by order of the Queen.
A statement in The Gazette read: "The Queen has directed that the appointment of Rolf Harris to be a Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, dated 17 June 2006, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order."
Former children's TV presenter Harris was sentenced to five years and nine months in prison for a string of indecent assaults on four girls between 1968 and 1986.
Disgraced Harris, 84, had his Officer and Member of the Order of Australia removed last week. His BAFTA fellowship was also revoked soon after her was convicted.
Normal protocol sees honours from Buckingham Palace forfeited in circumstances where the person is considered to have brought the system into disrepute.
In October, Harris lost the first round of his appeal bid against all 12 convictions.
