The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, attends the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Charter for Business reception and dinner at St James's Palace. The Prince of Wales, Patron of the Purcell School, holds a dinner for supporters of the school at Windsor Castle. The Princess Royal, President, the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, opens the Wembley Centre for Health and Care and the Brent Carers' Centre at Chaplin Road, Wembley, Middlesex; as Patron, the British Nutrition Foundation, attends their Annual Lunch and presents awards at the Royal College of Physicians, London NW1; as Patron, Rowland Hill Fund, attends their Annual General Meeting at the Mansion House, London EC4; and, as President, Riding for the Disabled Association, attends the National Conference Dinner, at the Riviera Centre, Torquay, Devon. The Duke of Gloucester opens the Science and Technology Building, Wellesley House School, Broadstairs, Kent. The Duke and The Duchess of Gloucester attend a concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London SW7, in the presence of the King and Queen of Norway; Princess Alexandra also attends. Princess Alexandra attends the 250th Anniversary Service of St Margaret's School, Bushey, held in St Paul's Cathedral, London EC4.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; F Company Scots Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Welsh Guards.
