The Duke of York visits the Defence Helicopter Flying School at RAF Shawbury, Shrewsbury. Prince Edward attends a ball at the Park Lane Hotel, London W1, hosted by the Turkish Ambassador, the Turco-British Chamber of Commerce and the Anglo-Turkish Society to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey. The Princess Royal, President of Patrons, Crime Concern, chairs a Reducing Neighbourhood Crime seminar at the Village Hotel, Headingley, Leeds, West Yorkshire; as Patron, Sense, the National Deafblind and Rubella Association, attends a Corporate Lunch at Wragge and Company, Birmingham; and, as President, British Olympic Association, attends the Athens 2004 Olympic Business Opportunities reception "The Potential for Britain" at Lancaster House, London SW1. The Duke of Gloucester visits Moggerhanger House, Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire; opens new buildings at Wootton Upper School, Wootton, Bedfordshire; and, as Patron, the Japan Society, attends a reception for Council sponsors and benefactors at 33 King William Street, London EC4. Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion, The Duke of Wellington's Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Irish Guards.
