The Princess Royal opens Gretna Gateway Outlet Village at Gretna, Dumfriesshire; as President, British Knitting Clothing Export Council, visits Psyche Ltd, Llinthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire; opens the new laboratories at Novocastra Laboratories Ltd, Balliol Business Park West, Newcastle upon Tyne; and, as Colonel-in-Chief, the Royal Scots (the Royal Regiment), unveils and re-dedicates the war memorial at Walkerburn, Peeblesshire.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am.
