The Princess Royal opens the World Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress, International Convention Centre, Birmingham. The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (Nadfas), attends the Young Nadfas Silver Jubilee Day at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey; and attends a concert in aid of the English- Speaking Union's Music Fund at Drapers' Hall, London EC2.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; No 7 Company Coldstream Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am.
