The Princess Royal, President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council, attends the Board of Management Meeting and visits British Knitting and Clothing Export Council offices and showrooms, 5 Portland Place, London W1; and attends the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine Vice-Presidents' Dinner at the Tate Gallery Liverpool, Albert Dock, Liverpool. Princess Margaret, President, the Guide Association, gives a Reception for Queen's Guides at Kensington Palace. The Duchess of Gloucester visits the International Children's Trust, Peterborough; opens new buildings at the Caverstede Nursery School, Paston, Peterborough; and opens the new ward for the Elderly at County Hospital, Doddington, Cambridgeshire. The Duke of Kent attends the gala final of the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition, Barbican Arts and Conference Centre, London EC2.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Welsh Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.
