Scarlett Johansson offers candid advice about how to overcome damaging relationships
'That is the moment you've gotta cut it off. Otherwise it will keep coming back,' says Johansson

From the time Scarlett Johansson hit back at a patronising reporter to her plethora of strong female leads, the 31-year-old actress has never been one to shy away from making her opinions known.
Most recently, the New York-born actress has spoken forthrightly and matter-of-factly about how to overcome damaging and unhealthy relationships.
“Long, long ago, I had someone in my life who was forever unavailable...but, like, so attractively unavailable. You have to get to your breaking point…,” Johansson told Cosmopolitan.
“Rock bottom is the moment when you're like, 'I've lost myself. Why am I standing outside this bar at 1:30 in the morning texting while my friends are inside? Or taking a taxi to see him at some ungodly hour? This isn't me.'
“That is the moment you've gotta cut it off. Otherwise, it will keep coming back, suck your blood.“
Johansson is now married to Romain Dauriac and the pair had a daughter, Rose Dorothy, in 2014.
Known for her roles in Girl with a Pearl Earring, Black Widow and many more, Johansson is the former Global Ambassador for Oxfam.
