Despite the many things Stephen Hawking has achieved in life be it his general theory of relativity, receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom and being the focus of an Academy Award winning film, there’s still one thing he feels he has to do before his status as a true pop culture icon is cemented.

The 74-year-old theoretical physicist is currently busy discussing his plans, along with Mark Zuckerberg and Yuri Milner and a host of other tech entrepreneurs, to send tiny rockets into remote regions in space for an ambitious space exploration project.

Discussing the Starshot Project recently on ABC news, Hawking was asked, after having appeared in The Simpsons and had Eddie Redmayne portray him in The Theory of Everything, what it feels like to be a cultural icon. In response, he joked: “I won’t feel like a true pop culture icon until I’ve been on The Kardashians.

“Be careful what you wish for” the host replied which Hawking met with a smile.

We can see it already, somebody get Kris Jenner on the phone.
