Tom Daley announces engagement to partner Dustin Lance Black with advert in The Times newspaper
The couple have been together for two years

Olympic diver Tom Daley has announced his engagement to partner Dustin Lance Black by registering the news in The Times newspaper.
The announcement in the Births, Marriages and Death section reads: “The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence.”
It echoes Bennedict Cumberbatch's announcement in the same paper last year.
Daley and Black met in the spring of 2013, and their relationship formed a crucial part of Daley coming out later that year.
In the emotional video titled ‘Something I Have To Say’, Daley explained that his life had “changed massively” when he met Black, though he did not mention him by name.
“I met someone, and they make me feel so happy, so safe, and everything just feels great. That someone is a guy,” he explained in the video, shot in his bedroom.
He was flooded with support from well-wishers and his video soon went viral.
Black is an American film screenwriter, director and producer who won an Academy Award for Milk, the 2008 biographical film looking at the life of gay rights activist Harvey Milk.
