Troian Bellisario backtracks on Taylor Swift 'false feminism' comments
The Pretty Little Lies actress now says she has never met Swift and has no opinion on the recent furore
Troian Bellisario has backpedalled on the remarks she made about being appalled by Taylor Swift’s “false feminism”.
The Pretty Little Liars actress, 30, grabbed headlines when she condemned Swift for tearing down her former friends.
“I'm so appalled by what I consider to be her false feminism,” she told Cosmopolitan on Friday. “It seems like she's this person who's like, 'Sisterhood!' and then she does nothing but tear down the women that were once her friends.”
On Friday, Troian explained she had “never even met” Swift, saying that she “couldn’t care less” about the singer’s feuds with various high profile figures.

“Please leave me out of noise like this. I basically said I would like to have no opinion on the topic. I've never even met her.”
“I said I couldn't care less bout another Swift feud-apparently that means Im in one w/ her,” she added.
She also explained she spent much of the interview discussing the DNC and the forthcoming election but the wider media response had only honed in on her remarks about Swift.
A representative for Swift did not immediately respond to request for comment.
