Hafthor Bjornsson, the actor who plays Game of Thrones villain “The Mountain”, is already the world’s strongest man.

But that title means little to the visual mind until you actually witness him lifting over half a metric ton in real life.

According to ESPN, the footage was captured as the 26-year-old star competed in the World’s Strongest Viking competition when he successfully lifted and placed a 32-foot log weighing 1,433 pound onto his shoulders.

In doing so, he apparently broke a 1,000-year-old Icelandic record originally set by Orm Storlfsson a millennium ago.

Watch it above.
