The funeral for Lemmy from Motörhead will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Los Angeles and will be streamed live at 11pm GMT.

Organisers are using Motörhead's official YouTube channel to livestream the event so that fans of metal guitarist can celebrate him wherever they are.

Ian Fraser Kilmister, Lemmy's real name, died aged 70 on 28 December, two days after learning he had an agressive form of cancer.

Many of Lemmy's favourite drinking haunts are hosting screenings of the funeral service such as Whiskey A Go Go in LA and the Wig and Gown in North London.

Speaking to fans, organisers said on the video description: "We want you ALL to be a part of this memorial service. So wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch with fellow Motörheadbangers and friends.

"Go to your favourite bar, or your favourite club, make sure they have access to an internet connection and toast along with us.

"Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home."
