Mr Alwyn Dwye Evans, of Richmond, Surrey, former chairman of William Heinemann, the publishers, left estate valued at £272,385 net.

Freda Phyllis Selby, of Colyton, Devon, left estate valued at £1,070,968 net. After personal bequests of £2,000, she left £5,000 to Lyme Regis Baptist Church, £2,000 to the Abbeyfield Colyton Society, and the residue equally between the Baptist Union Housing for Retired Ministers and their Wives, the Baptist Union, Baptist Missionary Society, West Ham Central Mission, Barnardo's, Leprosy Mission, Marie Curie Memorial Foundation, Bible Society, Royal Commonwealth Society for the Blind and Salvation Army.

Mr Albert Barrett Hart Taylor, of Bristol, left estate valued at £426,372 net. He left his entire estate equally between Barnardo's, Children's Society, National Children's Home and Muller Homes for Children, Bristol.

Margaret McCulloch, of St Albans, Hertfordshire, left estate valued at £209,805 net. She left £100,000 to St Albans Cathedral Education Centre Trust.

Alice Robinson, of Monyash, Derbyshire, left estate valued at £1,106,170 net. After personal bequests of £10,000, she left £20,000 to the Salvation Army, and the residue to the National Trust.
