Let's Colour Awards 2015 celebrates the power of colour in Britain

Let's Colour Awards 2015 winners have been announced, as a part of the annual celebration of the most powerful and innovative use of colour across the Britain's creative industries and events.

There were eight categories in which the creativity and events were judged, including Fashion & Beauty, Homes & Interiors, Tech & Design, Colour in the Arts, Young Designer, Contribution to Colour, Colour in Commercial Architecture and Buildings as well as Colour Moment of the Year.

The British public had the chance to crown their winner in the colour defining moment of the year category and voted for the the iconic poppy installation at the Tower of London.

Plastique Fantastique & Mario Barotti were the Technology & Design winners with a synthetic sculpture that transforms sunlight into audio frequencies and Scottish fashion designer, Jonathan Saunder, was awarded with the Contribution to Colour award for a lasting contribution of bring colour into people's lives.

Kit Miles was named as Young Designer of the Year, whilst the artist Dan Tobin-Smith was also honoured for 'The First Law of Kipple' - a 200 square metre installation made up of thousands of coloured objects donated by the public.

Scottish fashion designer, Jonathan Saunders, was awarded with the Contribution to Colour award for a lasting contribution of bringing colour to people's lives. Raw Edges picked up Best use of Colour in Homes & Interiors whilst Abberant Architecture was awarded the Colour in Commercial Architecture & Buildings awarded for an Edwardian renovation of the Rosemary Works School.

Presented by Deyan Sudjic, Director of London's Design Museum, Let's Colour Awards took place at The Magazine Restaurant - a stunning venue designed by award winning architect Zaha Hadid.
