Guangbiao, performed magic tricks and gave away money to homeless people, who were brought in on buses from New York City Rescue Mission. "I have visited the U.S. every month since last November, I see many homeless people, poor people on the streets, searching for food in the garbage bins," Chen said about his latest charity donation. As the event ended, confusion and frustration erupted amongst the attendees, as Guangbiao had promised each person $300, but later revoked the deal and donated $90,000 to the New York City Rescue Mission instead.
