Three men were arrested last night over the killing of five-year-old Dillon Hull, gunned down in the street in an alleged drugs-related attack a week ago. Police from a firearms unit swooped on a house in the Deane area of Bolton, close to Dillon's home, and arrested the men. A massive hunt had been going on since the boy was shot while walking to a shop with his stepfather John Bates, 28, from the family home last Wednesday evening.
Police have said they believe the shooting, in which Mr Bates was wounded in the stomach, may have been connected to a drugs-related feud. Yesterday, an inquest heard that Dillon had died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
