Post Office privatisation 'still under discussion'

Press reports last night suggested that Mr Major might seek to calm Tory discontent by delaying or abandoning privatization of the Post Office. There was speculation that the issue was still being argued in the Cabinet against the spectre of opposition from rural Tory MPs fearful of country post office closures.
