pounds 200,000 BR fine over crash

The British Railways Board was yesterday fined pounds 200,000 after a failure to carry out correct signal repairs led to a collision between two trains. One train with 16 passengers on board hit an empty stationary train near Wood Street station in east London, in September last year, Snaresbrook Crown Court was told.
