NORWEGIAN WHALERS are struggling to fill the nation's self-appointed quota of minkes because of bad weather. The government granted a quota of 753 whales for the hunt, lasting from May to the beginning of next month.
Per Olav Rolandsen, who monitors the hunt for Norway's whaling centre, said the hunt was hampered by rough seas. "Even the slightest ripple on the ocean can make it impossible to see the whales."
