A GIANT sundial was unveiled yesterday in the Place de la Concorde in central Paris after being postponed twice by world wars.
The French astronomer Camille Flammarion planned in 1913 to mark the pavement so that passers-by could tell the time according to shadows from the 108-foot Obelisk. The sundial, which will remain until 2001, is part of Paris's millennium celebrations.
