TEMPERATURES IN Britain reached 27C yesterday, making the weekend the hottest this year. In Brighton, east Sussex, clubbers made the most of the balmy weather by sleeping on the beach on Saturday night.
The only hazard for holidaymakers was the weaver fish, which buries itself in mud to escape the heat. Brighton's sea front officer, Charlie King, said: "A handful of people have trodden on the poisonous dorsal fins of weaver fish."
