UNSEASONAL WEATHER yesterday wrecked a visit by the QE2 to a Scottish town. The liner was moored off Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, for the day to coincide with the town's Scottish Week celebrations.
Tourist bosses had hoped the passengers would visit the town but choppy waters and winds reaching force six to seven thwarted their plans when the ship's captain cancelled all sailings to and from the shore due to the conditions.
