Rain or Shine...
RECENT RAINS in Tanzania have eased a food shortage in the country and reduced the risk of famine, the country's Prime Minister said.
Frederick Sumaye explained that the seasonal "short rains" had come extremely late this year but had finally arrived and would improve agricultural output.
But he warned that thousands of people will still need food aid, especially if the rains fail to last long enough.
