SAN FRANCISCO Bay was shrouded in dense fog last night, preventing thousands of people from flying into airports in San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose.
Forecasters said the severe fog, which spread all the way down the coast to Santa Barbara, would last through today.
Piles of unclaimed luggage are lining the baggage claim areas at San Francisco International Airport.
