AT LEAST 60 people were injured when cyclone Davina hit Mauritius, officials said yesterday.
The cyclone is now heading towards Madagascar after briefly battering Mauritius, in the south-eastern tip of the Indian Ocean, with winds of up to 108 mph.
Government and hospital officials said that 60 people were admitted to hospital and about 1,000 more suffered cuts and bruises.
