HOMES WERE flattened in central Turkey yesterday after an earthquake struck the city of Sivas. The earthquake, with a preliminary magnitude of 5.2, struck this morning near the town of Divrigi, according to the Kandilli observatory in Istanbul. It was followed by a mild quake of magnitude 3, two minutes later and some 20 aftershocks.
There were no reported casualties.
