FIVE PEOPLE died and thousands were left homeless after floods swept through Khartoum's twin city of Omdurman earlier this week.
Three people died on Monday in Umbada, Omdurman, when their house collapsed. The bodies of two children were found in floodwaters.
Around 33 schools have been damaged or destroyed and thousands of people are now living out in the open.
