STORMY WEATHER has left thousands of ferry passengers stranded for the second time in a week, as severe gales lashed the west coast of Scotland.
Ferries between Scotland, Ireland and those sailing to the Western Isles were disrupted. One boat attempted the crossing between Scotland and Ireland yesterday but had to turn back because of heavy seas.
Commuters who use the service were last night facing a stay away from home.
