HEAVY STORMS across northern Europe killed at least two people yesterday. Rail lines and roads were blocked and farm animals stood stranded in flooded fields.
In Frankfurt, Germany, trees which had been uprooted by the wind crashed into cars. In the Czech Republic, a truck driver in eastern Thuringia state and a woman in a car in the Czech capital, Prague, were killed by falling trees.
