A man being questioned by Kent police was last night charged with offences of robbery and burglary.
Police named the man as Michael Stone, 37, who faces one charge of robbery and two charges of burglary, but said the alleged offences were not connected with the murders of Lin and Megan Russell in Chillenden, Kent, a year ago.
Police said Mr Stone, of Gillingham, Kent, will appear before Medway magistrates tomorrow. He is being held overnight in police custody at an unnamed police station.
Police sources said the investigation of a man in connection with the Russell murders was continuing.
