Northern Lights time-lapse: Astronaut Scott Kelly captures aurora borealis from space

141 days into his year-long life in space, Nasa astronaut Scot Kelly continues to provide stunning images and footage of the beauty of Earth seen from far above.
Just as Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield won millions of fans across the world with his social media exploits from space, so too is Mr Kelly, this time sharing a time-lapse of the aurora borealis, otherwise known as the Northern Lights. Shot from the International Space Station on Sunday, Mr Kelly recorded the natural phenomenon just before sunrise.
