Scientists study badger disease

Six leading scientists are to investigate the possible link between badgers and tuberculosis in cattle, Douglas Hogg, Minister of Agriculture, announced.

The setting up of the review, because of European Union concern over the possible links in Britain, was announced in July.

The chairman will be Professor John Krebs, chief executive of the Natural Environment Research Council.
