GENEVA - Serbian forces will today evacuate Mount Igman, which overlooks Sarajevo, the UN said, while Muslim troops will hold their ground to create a buffer zone guarded by UN soldiers, writes Michael Sheridan.
General Francis Briquemont, UN commander in Bosnia, said last night that the disengagement agreement would allow the Geneva peace talks to resume on Monday. The international mediators, Lord Owen and Thorvald Stoltenberg, yesterday suspended the talks, increasing pressure on the Serbs to withdraw.
