A DRAMA TEACHER accused of seducing a 15-year-old pupil was so "hopelessly" drunk that she was unable to climb the stairs to the boy's bedroom, a court heard yesterday.
Worcester Crown Court was told Renate Williams, 32, of Poole, Dorset, had drunk so much it was "practically impossible" for her to negotiate a flight of stairs during a school trip to Wales last November
The court heard evidence from two former pupils. One 16-year-old, who cannot be named, described himself as a light sleeper and said he would have heard the teacher if she had gone to the victim's bedroom, as alleged by the prosecution.
Ms Williams was said to have woken the pupil to take him to her room, where they had sex. Ms Williams denies two counts of indecent assault.
The case was adjourned until Monday.
