An 18-year-old soldier was found dead with a single bullet wound to the head at an Army base yesterday.

Private Cheryl James was discovered about 90 feet outside the garrison in Deepcut, Surrey, where she was on patrol. Her rifle was lying beside her. Police said they were not looking for anyone in connection with her death.
