AT LEAST 14 people died and 25 were wounded in fresh fighting on Sunday and Monday between rival Somali factions around the southern port of Kismayu, witnesses said.

General Mohamed Saeed Hirsi Morgan's Majertein clan was reported to have made further advances to the north and yesterday captured Kansuma, on the road to Mogadishu, after heavy clashes with the Marehan clan.
