Son sees father drown in river

A FATHER died in front of his teenage son while the pair were canoeing yesterday. Police said a man, 41, was canoeing on the river Forth at about 2.35pm about 30 feet from the shore at Lower Largo, Fife, when he was believed to have been taken ill, causing his canoe to capsize. His teenage son was in another canoe.
