Spirit of 'Scrooge'

The Asda stores chief, Archie Norman, was branded a "Scrooge" after withdrawing Christmases bonuses from women who have taken maternity leave. As part of a crackdown on absenteeism, Asda is reducing or withdrawing the pay- out to anyone who has had time off in the last six months.
