Student settles on expenses

A UNIVERSITY student, who sued his estranged mother for pounds 400 a month living expenses, has settled out of court.

Patrick MacDonald, 20, and his mother, Margaret, who he had not seen for four years, reached an agreement yesterday at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. At a hearing last October a judge made a temporary order for the mother to pay pounds 60 a month costs.
