Moyes rues late Cardiff equaliser

Manchester United manager David Moyes was left frustrated by another late equaliser as his side drew 2-2 at Cardiff yesterday. United moved up to sixth in the league but they would have returned to the top four had they held on to their lead.

Kim Bo-Kyung came off the bench to scored late on for Cardiff and Moyes said: "I am disappointed. We had it under control with a minute to go but we conceded from a set piece and it cost us.

"We have been on a pretty good run, but that is a blow and we cannot keep dropping points." MORE

Spurs humiliated after 6-0 City rout

Andre Villas-Boas said his Spurs side should be ashamed of their performance in a 6-0 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The Tottenham manager saw his team lose to two goals each from Jesus Navas (right) and Sergio Aguero, an own goal from Sandro and another from Alvaro Negredo. Spurs conceded five in the first 55 minutes.

Villas-Boas said: "Our game plan, confidence and motivation was immediately affected by conceding after 14 seconds.

"We weren't at our best and we have to be ashamed of a result like this." MORE

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert believes his club remain bigger than West Bromwich Albion as the sides prepare for tonight's derby match at the Hawthorns. Lambert said: "I haven't been at West Brom or managed the club, but Aston Villa is a bigger club." MORE

Sebastian Vettel won the Brazilian GP in emphatic fashion to equal a record of nine consecutive Formula One wins set by Alberto Ascari in 1953. Team-mate Mark Webber finished second in his final race, with Fernando Alonso third. MORE

Bath rise to third with win at Wasps

Bath moved up to third in the Premiership with a comprehensive 28-5 win away at London Wasps yesterday. Semesa Rokoduguni scored two tries and Matt Garvey touched down to help Bath prevail, while Jonah Holmes scored for Wasps. MORE

Carl Froch's promoter, Eddie Hearn, feared the worst for the 36-year-old before he beat George Groves to retain his WBA and IBF super-middleweight titles. "For a few rounds, it looked like Carl Froch's career was over," said Hearn. MORE
