Double tops for Trott and Hoy as Queen Vic downed

Twenty-year-old Laura Trott secured her second medal of the Games in the Velodrome, adding the omnium title to the women's team pursuit medal she claimed at the weekend. Sir Chris Hoy also enjoyed more success on the track, his victory in the keirin making him Britain's most decorated Olympian, but there was disappointment for the retiring Victoria Pendleton, above, who surrendered her women's sprint title to Australian Anna Meares in the last race of her career. Brownlee brothers dominate triathlon

The Brownlee brothers occupied two of the three podium places after the men's triathlon, with Alistair taking gold in Hyde Park. His younger brother, Jonathan, finished third and collapsed with exhaustion before collecting his bronze medal. MORE

Dempsey atones with sailing silver

Nick Dempsey made up for disappointment in Beijing four years ago by clinching silver in the RS:X windsurfing class. The 31-year-old, who finished fourth in 2008, held off Poland's Przemyslaw Miarczynski to secure second position. MORE

Grabarz leaps to high jump bronze

Robbie Grabarz secured a bronze medal in the men's high jump last night, leaping over a height of 2.29m for a share of third. The Briton finished behind Russian winner Ivan Ukhov and second-placed Erik Kynard of the United States. MORE

Eventing gold breaks GB record

Laura Bechtolsheimer, Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester gave Great Britain a 20th medal gold of the Games when they won the eventing team dressage. The win made it GB's best performance at an Olympics since winning 56 golds when hosting in 1908.

Reade ready to make amends

Shanaze Reade is determined to improve on her showing in the BMX four years ago when she starts her campaign. "I've had a love-hate relationship with the Olympics," she said. "But this time feels normal and relaxed." MORE
