A third man died yesterday after an attempt to rescue a plumber from a Northern Ireland well turned to tragedy.
A fireman and an ambulancemen were killed, probably by fumes, after going underground on Saturday to help the plumber who was trapped in the well on a remote farm near Ballymoney in Co Antrim. The plumber, who died last night in hospital, was named as Samuel Cushanham, 29, an unmarried man from Co Antrim.
