Most British people drink a lot of tea and say sorry too much — or at least that's what the rest of the world thinks.

But which facts really hold true for the majority of the more than 61 million people who live in the United Kingdom?

We've compiled a list using data from numerous research and survey companies, including the Office for National Statistics, Ipsos MORI, and Pew Research.
