250 jobs cut

A further 250 workers are to lose their jobs as part of a rolling redundancy programme at Cammell Laird, Birkenhead, which has shed 1,150 jobs since the shipyard was put up for sale two years ago. Numbers will drop from about 950 to just over 700.
