2m pounds forgery charges

THREE men will appear in court tomorrow after pounds 2m of forged pounds 50 notes were found in a garage in east London. It is understood that equipment also found during the raids on homes in Basildon, Essex, and Islington and Hackney in London, included a machine for inserting foil strips into notes. The men are charged with conspiracy to contravene the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act.
