EIGHT youths were being held last night by police investigating the murder of Les Reed, 45, who was kicked to death after trying to stop a gang vandalising street bollards at Ely, Cardiff. Detectives arrested the eight - aged between 16 and 22 - in a series of raids. Mr Reed was walking home with a friend from a social club.
