The High Court action for damages brought by Cora Dowling, 33, against Surrey County Council and Christine Walton, 36, a registered childminder whom she blames for her son being left brain- damaged and partially-sighted, was adjourned so that Mrs Walton and her husband, Martin, 38, could be legally represented.
