A 17-year-old boy sent by Gloucestershire social services on an expenses-paid tour of Africa costing pounds 7,000, yesterday admitted a drink-drive offence committed four days after his return from the trip.
The boy also admitted other motoring offences when he appeared before youth court justices in Gloucester. He was banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay pounds 140 fines and pounds 30 costs.
