Five people were treated for minor injuries after a light aircraft crashed on moorland near Darwen, Lancashire, while attempting an emergency landing. The Piper Saratoga was travelling from Handbridge in Cheshire to Blackpool when it developed engine trouble and landed about 50 yards from a road.
