New staff rosters are to be introduced by London Ambulance Service on 1 October, following the publication of a report that said 5 per cent of all call-outs, particularly those in peak periods, did not result in arrival within the target response time, 14 minutes. In one incident in July, an ambulance took almost an hour to reach a patient.
